It’s the competition that takes tree climbing to a new level.
The Mid-North Coast Arbor Camp and Tree Climbing Competition pushed participants to the very limit – some 15 metres in the air
“These guys behind us today are doing a speed climb which is virtually a race to the top of the tree to ring a bell and it’s really just a way to access the tree to start work at the beginning of the day.”
The winner of the local competition will progress to the state, then national finals before arborists from around the world battle it out on an international stage.
The competition is designed to not only test skills, but demonstrate they can do their job safely and efficiently.
