Two men and a woman have been rescued after their boat sank off Port Stephens this morning.
Just after 7am the trio left Broughton Island, near Port Stephens Headland on a 10-metre boat, that started to take on a large amount of water as they neared Birubi Point.
Police Stephens Water Police answered their calls for help and found the three people in the water wearing life jackets.
All three were taken to shore and then hospital, it is unknown if the vessel can be salvaged.
