UPDATED: WOMAN CHARGED OVER STABBING IN TWEED HEADS

A man is fighting for life after being stabbed in the chest, and then attempting to ride his bike to hospital on New South Wales-Queensland border.

Police say he rode his bike to Coolangatta after being injured in a fight with a woman at Tweed Heads last night.

He was taken to Gold Coast Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

A 44-year-old woman has now been charged over the incident.
