Coffs Harbour’s CBD was evacuated today, after a fire broke out in a clothing store.
It took firefighters several hours to battle the blaze, which damaged a number of neighbouring stores.

I want to express my disgust & disappointment in the person that started this fire. It has left many people including myself without employment. Coffs Harbour has a very high unemployment rate & this has only added to it. I feel so sad for my manager & all the hard work they have put into building this Superstore to what it is today, Fingers crossed Rivers will do everything to have us back up & running in the near future. It just sicken me today, when I got the message that the store, had been set alight. I’m so thankful that none of my co-workers were injured, & they got out safely.
