The bowls could be rolling on the greens at Club Lennox by Christmas.
Nine months ago, Ramsgate RSL closed the 53-year-old bowling club due to financial losses.
Since then the community has rallied, raising more than $80,000 to get the club back up and running.
“We need to get about the $184,000 which we need to get to do the club up, but we have a hardcore group of about 16 people who have done a lot of work through fundraising committees.”
The club committee is confident it can raise enough money to reopen by December.
“Every little bit helps it would be great if there is any benefactors out there who would like to help us.”
