THREE CHARGED IN REPTILE THEFT

Two exotic reptiles have been returned home to the Australian Reptile Park on the Central Coast, after three Sydney men were charged over their theft.

The Solomon Island Skinks were taken during a break in at the park last month, which also saw a number of large lizards and snakes, valued up to $40,000, stolen.

The three men, aged 18 and 19 were arrested at a carpark in Brooklyn – allegedly trying to sell the skinks for $5000 each.

The park says they still hold grave fears for the safety of around 20 other reptiles that are yet to be recovered.
