The Fair Work Ombudsman has fined a Lake Macquarie-based transport business a record amount for underpaying its staff.
A court found Happy Cabby, a popular transit service between Newcastle and Sydney airports, wrongly classified its workers to save money.
The company was fined $286,000, a record in New South Wales… while director Graeme Paff was fined a further $47,000.
