NEW LAND USE STRATEGY FOR GLOUCESTER

Gloucester Council has begun developing a comprehensive Land Use Strategy to help guide future development.
Among the big issues to be explored is mining and how it affects the community.
The document will also cover agriculture, tourism, plans for the town centre and options for new housing.
Council says some policies in its last strategy, which was devised in 2005, are outdated.
The strategy is expected to take 12 months to complete.
