BISHOP CLAIMS HE NEVER LOOKED AT ‘SECRET’ DOCUMENTS IN HIS OFFICE FOR 16 YEARS

The former Bishop of Maitland-Newcastle claims he never looked at documents relating to alleged child abuse by Catholic clergy, despite the fact they were kept in his diocese office for more than a decade.

Michael Malone today told the Special Commission of Inquiry that he’s never seen numerous documents uncovered by investigators, which detail abuse claims.
