Three projects from the Narrabri shire have made it onto the first-round shortlist for this year’s Resources for Regions funding program.
The Narrabri airport expansion, water augmentation infrastructure and Boggabri sewer upgrades making the cut, alongside 11 other projects from mining-affected areas.
64 entries were assessed during the first round.
An independent panel will now review the 14 shortlisted projects to determine where funds will be allocated.
Deputy Premier Andrew Stoner says about $40-million worth of projects will be selected.
