A car crashed into a shop front on Taree’s main street this morning, just missing a woman sitting at a cafe.
Police say the 60-year-old male driver’s shoe got stuck on the accelerator before the car mounted the kerb and ploughed into an accounting firm on Victoria Street just after 8 o-clock.
No one was injured but it was a close call for a female customer at a cafe next door, who jumped out of the way to avoid being hit.
