HVTC CELEBRATES RUTHERFORD SOD TURNING
Australia’s largest and oldest group training organisation has celebrated an important milestone.
The first sod was turned by the Hunter Valley Training Company at its new Rutherford site, where a $5-million Skills Centre will be built.
“It will cater for our traditional electrical, mechanical type trades but will be state of the art with more specialised facilities,” said Bob Cameron, HVTC Chairman.
The company will expand to train hundreds more apprentices and offer a larger range of training from aged care to IT.
The organisation has outgrown its East Greta Junction facility, which it has occupied for 26 years.
