WEATHER UPDATE: ECL TO THE SOUTH

The east coast low is driving heavy rain and strong winds with larges seas in across the Ilawarra and south NSW coast. There is an upper level cold feature that will help to produce some scattered showers on the western side of the Ranges tomorrow.
On the Divide some snow will be possible above 1100m during the early morning period.
As the low pulls away from the coast a burst of wet weather with heavy showers at times will drive north during Wednesday affecting Newcastle and the Hunter. That onshore influence will make for a wet end to June east of the ranges with large seas and swell causing more coastal erosion.
