A new category which showcases a more traditional form of surfing was on show during day four of the New South Wales Longboard Titles at Bonny Hills.
Newcastle’s Jarrod Morrell blitzed his first heat in the Open Loggers, scoring a two-wave total of 16.46.
He moved straight through to the semi-finals, as did Benji Fedor from the Northern Beaches with his score of 10.67.
The competition wraps up tomorrow with the finals.
