A man aged in his 30s is in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Coffs Harbour overnight.
Police say the man and a friend were walking across Hogbin Drive in Toormina when the victim stopped in the middle of the road.
The man was then hit by a car and fell backwards through the windscreen, suffering serious cuts and abrasions and bruising to his lungs.
