Meanwhile, Mr Joyce welcomed the Shadow Minister for Veterans Affairs, Michael Ronaldson, to Tamworth today to discuss fair indexation for veterans, which has been an issue discussed at every campaign forum Mr Joyce has held.
The Shadow Minister signed the Coalition’s pledge on fair indexation for defence force retirement benefits.
“We’re going to bring the military superannuants back to where our aged pensioners and others are, you can’t treat people who have served this nation as badly as this and it will be addressed.”
Mr Ronaldson says there are 57,0000 military superannuants in Australia who are being treated unfairly.
