COUNTRY MUSIC STARS JOIN CAMPAIGN FOR ‘SLIM DUSTY DAY’

Some of country music’s biggest stars including Lee Kernaghan, Kasey Chambers and The McClymonts will perform in a concert next month supporting the proposed National Slim Dusty Day.

With 2013 marking the 10th anniversary of Slim Dusty’s death, the event will also raise money for the Slim Dusty Foundation and the Slim Dusty Centre in Kempsey.

The centre, which was developed as a living museum, showcases over 60 years of recording, performing and touring memorabilia, largely donated by the community.

The event will be held at Rooty Hill RSL on June 13.
