Port Macquarie’s Sam Bennett is creating waves on the international scene, after making it through to the final of the first world pro-tour event of the year.
Bennett, seen here at his home break recently, just missed out on a podium finish in the four-man heat.
But the mere fact that he made it that far is cause for celebration for the 21 year old, who came away with an impressive two-wave score of 16.25.
Commentators have described Bennett’s performance in the water as show-stopping, heralding his arrival on the world scene.
