STAR 3YO HEADED FOR HUNTER

Pierro, regarded as one of the best three-year-old’s the country has seen, will stand his first season at Coolmore Stud in Jerry Plains for a service fee of $77,000.

The Hunter Valley stud secured Pierro in a deal announced last Friday, just days after he was retired following his second in the Doncaster Mile.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse, the son of Lonhro won 11 of his 14 starts and earned more than $4.5 million.

Meanwhile, All Too Hard’s first season fee has been set at $66,000 by Scone’s Vinery Stud.

All Too Hard is scheduled to travel to England for the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot in June which will be his final race.
