A 37-year-old man is in a serious, but stable condition at Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital, following a car crash, west of Wingham.
Police say the man was travelling along Nowendoc Road at around 4.30 yesterday afternoon, when he lost control on a bend and hit a tree.
He was trapped for more than an hour while rescue crews worked to free him.
He suffered head, shoulder and chest injuries.
