230 EVACUATED AS BUILDING CATCHES ALIGHT AT NARRABRI HIGH SCHOOL

The last day of the Term 3 took an alarming turn in Narrabri today, when a fire broke out at the local high school just after two o’clock.

230 people had to be evacuated when the roof of the Industrial Building caught alight.

Luckily, a number of additional fire crews were already in town to help with another job and promptly attended the scene.

The blaze was quickly brought under control.

It’s understood no one was injured – the incident giving students and teachers something to talk about long into the school holidays.
