Currumbin surfer, Bede Durbidge is giving back to the island community in which he grew up.
This weekend at Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island the world number nine will host the “Bede’s Fox Grom Shootout” – a pathway event for youngsters.
“At that stage of my career now where I want to give back set up some stepping stones for kids to achieve their dreams like I have.”
Around 90 grommets will compete.
