BIG SWELL AHEAD – GAVIN’S WEATHER FOR THE WEEKEND

The weather has been warm and sunny across the North West, Hunter and much of the Mid North Coast again today.
The showers have rolled back in across the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers as an east coast low is now forming off the northern Queensland coast. It will move to the south east and clip the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers so showers are going to increase to rain periods heavy at times with flash flooding possible tomorrow. Swell is going to increase becoming too dangerous for boating, good for experienced fit surfers. More coastal erosion is on the way.
The bad weather should not affect areas south of Port Macquarie. This system is not expected to affect the Hunter where the weather will remain fine and warm across the weekend.
