WEIR REPAIRS UNDER DISCUSSION

The community of Bangalow will meet with a council employed engineer on
Monday night to discuss restoration options for the town’s historic weir.

The formerly popular swimming hole has been closed to the public for more than 18 months for safety reasons.

An engineering report has detailed four possible rebuild options, including raising the weir wall to its original height, which would cost around $400,000.
