This Sunday when clocks are turned back an hour for Daylight Savings, Fire and Rescue New South Wales is also urging residents to check their smoke alarms.
Officers are insisting people, including those living in caravans and campervans, take a few minutes to test their alarms and change the batteries, with the busy winter fire season just around the corner.
