BLUEBOTTLES INVADE FLYNNS BEACH

The red and yellow flags were back up at Flynns Beach today, after an influx of bluebottles forced its closure yesterday.

Strong north easterly swells blew thousands of jellyfish onto the sand, stinging a number of people.

The bluebottles were still hanging around today, but should gradually wash back out to sea.

In the meantime, beach-goers are being warned to tread carefully.
