A 31-year-old man is in a stable condition in John Hunter Hospital, after being shot in a hunting accident near Quirindi over the weekend.
The man was with four other people when he was accidentally shot in the leg by his 33-year-old friend.
The 33-year-old was arrested and charged with three firearm offences and reckless wounding.
He was granted bail to appear before Scone local court on April 18.
