The average Greater Taree household can expect to pay an extra $47 a year, if a proposed five per cent environmental levy is introduced.
The levy has now been included in council’s Delivery Program and Long Term Financial Plan.
Residents have until January 9 to comment, before council makes its formal submission to IPART in February.
