POSITIVE TALKS OVER NURSE CUTBACKS
The New South Wales Nurses and Midwives Association says it’s had positive talks with Pulse Health, over proposed cuts to nursing staff at Forster Private Hospital.
Last week the company confirmed it was restructuring its workforce and planned to sack five nurses and reduce the hours of a sixth.
The Association says the proposal has since been modified, with only three part-time staff now facing redundancies.
If finalised, part of the agreement could also see two of those staff offered casual work in the future.
