It’s hoped a renewed plea for donations will secure the future of the Gold Coast Animal Welfare League.
A special open day was held at the Shelter today in a bid to raise community awareness of the organisation.
Just last month, the League was facing the prospect of having to close its doors by the end of the year if more funding wasn’t secured.
The day was also aimed at increasing adoption numbers which have been down on previous years.
