YOUTH HUB OFFICIALLY OPENS ITS DOORS
While Port Macquarie’s Youth Hub has been up and running since November, it was officially opened in a ceremony today.
The $2.5 million facility on Horton Street, which has been attracting up to 40 people aged between 12 and 25 on a daily basis, aims to fill the gap in youth services in the community.
“It just provides a peaceful, happy spot for kids to be and it’s going to provide opportunities and encourage them to experience new things, meet new friends and just experience a whole new way of life.
There are big plans for The Hub – with regulars running a cafe on site and a number of classes including dance, music and boxing soon be on offer.
