The second dragon boat racing event of the year in the Northern Rivers will be held on the Clarence River at Lawrence next month.
Dragon boat events in the region are normally held on the Grafton reach of the river, but a relatively new club called the Flying Jacarandas wants to do its own thing early this year.
The regatta is expected to draw clubs from as far away as Port Macquarie and Brisbane.
