WARNING AFTER SEA SNAKE FOUND ON BEACH

A reminder for beachgoers to take extra care when dealing with sea snakes.

A volunteer snake catcher was horrified to find children had been poking a Stokes sea snake with their fingers at Woolgoolga.

Tom Damashke from W.I.R.E.S. said, ” Definitely a No No – these animals are dangerous and venomous and can very easily inflict a potentially lethal bite.”

The sea snake was taken to the Pet Porpoise Pool in Coffs Harbour.
