Extra domestic violence workers are being recruited to help New England and north west victims.
The Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Program has received a $2.6-million state grant, to create new positions in Tamworth, Gunnedah, Gilgandra and Wilcannia.
The legal aid roles provide extra help to victims taking out apprehended violence orders.
