I sincerely hope this fire was not related to having a flare kit in a PWC, after QLD Transport changed the rules that require distress flares in a PWC, yet they had evidence of fires in PWC caused by a distress flare ignition.
A truly sad story and circumstance.
It looks to be a cheapo Chinese import. The quality of the ski is questionable to start with, let alone the grade of fuel lines ect. If they had just fueled it up there could be vapor build-up which could have caused the explosion.
If they had spent a few extra $$$ and bought a reputable model they might not have had the same result
This one went quiet .
Was it a “cheapo” Chinese import. Or was it user error?
Ben you say spend a few extra $$$ and maybe might not have happened?
I would hope that the extra $$$ gets me more than a maybe.
So buy a cheapo get it checked by ADR… oh wait.. to Register it it must have been ADR compliant.
