On the Far North Coast, the bushfire situation has eased.
A blaze was burning out of control at Chavel Road in Tabulam yesterday afternoon.
But thanks to the work of Rural Fire Service crews, the two-hectare fire was brought under control late in the evening.
Crews are also containing a fire at Endinburgh Castle, 60km north-west of Kyogle.
