Syd Fisher’s ‘Ragamuffin’ has taken an early lead in the Pittwater to Coffs Regatta this afternoon.
The 34-boat fleet got underway at one o’clock, with a 15-knot Sou-Easterly breeze assisting the yachts on their journey north.
Conditions are expected to stay favourable throughout the evening, calling predictions the 18-hour race record set by Wild-Oats-9 in 2002, could tumble.
The first boats are expected to arrive through the harbour at Coffs Harbour jetty, late tomorrow morning.
