Port Macquarie’s Billabong Zoo has welcomed four new residents to its grounds, with penguins settling into their “Happy Feet” enclosure.
Named after the penguins from the film Madagascar, Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private have come from Sydney’s Featherdale Wildlife Park.
“We’ve been lucky enough to have two pairs of non related breeding pairs of penguins, so as soon as they’re ready we’ll be able to hit the breeding program.”
And they’re already a big hit with visitors.
