A young woman nearly drowned on the Gold Coast this morning, after being discovered underwater in the shallows at Ian Dipple Lagoon in Labrador.
The 28-year-old’s uncle raced to save her, followed quickly by quick-thinking holidaymakers.
“Yeah, just looked to see what was happening then saw that he had grabbed a young lady and just ran straight in to help him get her out.”
Her rescuers performed CPR until an ambulance arrived.
