COX’S CREEK BRIDGE REPAIRS RIGHT ON TRACK

Track repairs to the Cox’s Creek Bridge near Boggabri could be finished ahead of schedule.
The bridge was significantly damaged after a coal train derailment at the end of November.
Works were expected to be completed by Christmas, but the Australian Rail Track Corporation says it now plans to have the track up and running again by December 20.
It’s good news for the region’s freight operations.
Coal movements have been at a standstill, while B-double trucks have been hauling grain to Tamworth’s freight centre while the track has been out of operation.
