YOUTH CHARGED OVER FIELD DESTRUCTION
Police have charged a second youth over an alleged crime spree that resulted in the destruction of sporting equipment at Goonellabah’s Hepburn Oval in June.
It’s alleged the 15-year-old boy was a passenger in a stolen Land Rover which was used to perform a series of burnouts on the fields, before ramming two hockey goals.
The repair cost is estimated to be more than $12,000.
The boy was also charged over a separate break and enter on Rous Road in July.
He’s been released on bail and will appear before the Lismore Children’s Court in January.
