A 21-year-old man has been charged over the armed robbery of a petrol station at Wingham in January.
It’s alleged the man threatened a female employee with a knife and demanded cash.
Police believe the man returned to the same petrol station yesterday morning armed with a knife, but was scared off by a customer driving in.
He’s been granted bail to appear in Taree Local Court next February.
