Nearly three months after he signed with the Gold Coast Titans, young English fullback, Matt Russell, has arrived in Australia.
The 19-year-old’s considered to be one the best young players in the game.
He hit the ground running today, tackling some very steep hills, while still jet-lagged.
“It was three degrees when I left Manchester and I don’t know what it is now it must be like 10 times that.”
Russell’s prepared for more gruelling challenges ahead.
“I heard from a few of the Aussie blokes back home in the UK that it’s a tough competition and the 20’s is even as tough all the blokes are big so just rip into whatever I play.”
