NURSE PAY DISPUTE CONTINUES
A meeting between Pulse Health and nurses at Forster Private Hospital today over a pay dispute has failed to reach a resolution.
Last Thursday more than 20 nurses walked off the job, claiming they’re being paid up to $5 an hour less than their public sector counterparts.
The New South Wales Nurses and Midwives Association believes it’s costing the nurses around $10,000 a year.
Today, Pulse Health refused to increase its initial offer of a three-point two five and three per cent rise over the next two years.
Further industrial action is being planned for next Friday.
