Drama at the Seaway this morning when a dingy broke down, and flipped in rough, windy conditions.
The distressed fisherman tried to swim to shore – thankfully, a fellow boatie came to the rescue.
“He’s a bit shook up, he’s in shock. The weather is warm as we know that didn’t affect him. The biggest point he made was he was lucky he was wearing his life jacket and it’s probably saved his life.”
The 25-year-old was taken to Gold Coast hospital as a precaution.
The boat wasn’t retrieved.
Water police believe it was sucked out to South Stradbroke.
