A 24-year-old man is in custody after being charged with the bashing murder of a 50-year-old man in Coffs Harbour on Sunday.
The man, who was arrested late yesterday, has been refused bail.
He is the third person arrested in connection with the assault which took place at the rear of a property in Collingwood Street.
The victim died in Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital on Tuesday.
A 49-year-old female and a 41-year-old male, who have also been charged over the incident, have been granted conditional bail.
All three are due to appear in the Coffs Harbour Court later this month.
