WHISTLEBLOWER SNEDDON WINS APPEAL

A Lake Macquarie woman, who was the the whistleblower in the Milton Orkopoulos child sex case, has won her appeal against the state of New South Wales.
Gillian Sneddon says she’s delighted with the outcome, as the Court of Appeal ruled the state was liable for the conduct of the-then Labor minister.
It means the state must now pay for most of her legal costs, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Gillian Sneddon, who worked in the MP’s Swansea office, was awarded $438,00 in damages last year, after the Supreme Court found Orkopoulos bullied and harassed her.
Milton Orkopoulos was jailed for child sex and drugs offences in 2008.

Great news Gillian – you deserve a VC and an Order of Australia combined – you’ve been under enemy fire much longer than anyone in the field, and done more than most in upholding national public integrity. Justice at last – you are the salt of the earth, and someone who keeps Australia great. Praying for you.
