Central Coast arborist Ryan Roberts has taken out the inaugural Mid North Coast Tree Climbing Championships in Port Macquarie.
Just 12 points separated the final three in the masters round, with Mullumbimby’s Jamie Boston finishing second, and Henry Siems close behind in third.
21 competitors fought for the title in a series of events including the throw line, foot lock, work climb and aerial rescue.
Speed and agility were put to the test, as the events simulated an arborist’s typical work day.
Organisers have hailed the competition a huge success, and are looking forward to making it an annual event.
