Gunnedah’s new sale yards are ready to go.
The $850,000 expansion will officially be opened on Tuesday.
It’s hoped the new and improved sale yards will add to the $80-million already brought in annually.
“Having the facility which encourages both the industry and makes accessibility to the buyers is very very important to sustaining that market,” Mayor Owen Hassler said.
60 new cattle yards have been added and will be named after local identity Frank Gallen, recognising his 47 years of service to the industry.
