A male body has been pulled from surf near the Bogey Hole in Newcastle this afternoon.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene at around 3pm after a member of the public saw the body.
Surf Lifesavers entered the water and attempted to retrieve the body, but required help from the Westpac Rescue helicopter.
